Chosen synopsis for our group's original Horror Trailer

Whilst studying hard at university, Jordan is distracted by her housemates who are always loud and disruptive. One night when she is trying to revise for her finals she is again disrupted by her housemates, so she shouts at them to be quiet and goes back to her room feeling mad. To try to calm down she goes for a quick walk so that her mind will clear, but matters are only made worse when she is convinced there is a man following her when she keeps seeing a dark silhouette following her. She hurries home and tries to forget about the events. The next morning she wakes up to find both of her housemates brutally murdered in the kitchen, in shock she phones the police who deal with the murder. Jordan is convinced that the murderer was the man who was following her the previous night.

Trying to forget about the horrific events which took place in her house she concentrates on her studies. In a lecture Jordan is exhausted and accidentally slips into a deep sleep where she has a nightmare that her lecturer has been killed in a terrible car accident which jolts her awake; relieved that the dream wasn't real she leaves the class with the other students and goes home like normal. Again she feels that she is being followed and thinks that she sees the same shadow just behind her. Worried, she rushes home and calls her best friend Tom who has always been fond of Jordan. He is concerned for her and suggests that she goes to see a psychiatrist or the university counsellor. She thinks that this will be beneficial at least to deal with the death of her housemates and agrees to make an appointment as soon as she can.

In the morning she wakes and goes to university to find that her lecture is being covered because her normal lecturer has been killed in a car accident.

Jordan goes to the psychiatrist and tells him about the strange things that have been happening to her and that she thinks someone might be spying on her and following her. The psychiatrist writes on his records that Jordan may be experiencing dissociative identity disorder which is a mental disorder characterized by at least two distinct identities or dissociated personality states that alternately control a person's behaviour, and is accompanied by memory impairment for important information. He prescribes her some pills which may help with the bad dreams and ends the session.

Distressed by the day’s events she goes home and falls asleep where she has yet another nightmare that her psychiatrist is killed. She wakes up in terror and convinced that he really will be dead like her housemates and lecturer she turns on the news channel to see a news report of a brutal murder in the city of a male psychiatrist. Absolutely terrified she phones Tom and tells him to come over straight away as she needs someone to be with her. Whilst she is waiting for him to arrive she sits in her room crying silently and freezes when she hears thuds and scratches from outside her door and is convinced that she is not alone so hides in a cupboard in her room. As she is sitting in the half-darkness an abnormal shadow moves beside her head which she doesn’t notice but the audience does, it gets darker and more intense and thuds in the house get louder just as Tom arrives and pulls Jordan out of the cupboard hugging her tightly and telling her 'It's okay, it's okay, I'm here now.'

Together, Tom and Jordan watch a film in her living room and she lets him know that she should probably take her pills for her bad dreams soon as it's getting late. She goes to the bathroom and looks in the mirror, her face is pale and her eyes are dark, she looks ill. As she moves her head down to get her pills out of the packet her reflection stays where it is, staring at her intensely and evilly. She looks up without noticing the abnormality of her reflection and re-joins Tom; however her reflection stays staring evilly into the audience/camera.

It gets later and eventually she and Tom fall asleep on the sofa. Despite the pills, Jordan has an extraordinarily realistic dream where she kills Tom using the kitchen knife, stabbing him repeatedly. She wakes in absolute shock and terror to find Tom still sleeping silently next to her; she looks to him for a minute and then stares into the camera with the same evil eyes as her reflection and slowly smiles grimly.
