Why we chose 'Disorder'

We chose to go with the idea 'Disorder' where Jordan unknowingly kills people after dreaming about it because the results of our questionnaires showed that people prefer psychological horrors to slashers and supernatural. This means that we would be able to have a wider audience who would want to watch the movie. We also took into account the fact that most people do find gore and blood a scary part of horror films and so we will include a minimal amount in our trailer, so to not give away any important details of the plot, but also so that it doesn't put people off with bad effects and too much gore.

We also thought that the idea of 'Disorder' was good because most of the people who answered the survey (and therfore interested in horrrors) were aged between 16 and 20 years old. This is a similar age to our the main character of Jordan and which means that the audience would be able to relate to her in some ways. The horror is also set during Jordan's time at university which is also relatable for many 16-20 year olds, and often, things are more scary if you can relate to them yourself. People will feel more on edge if they are of a similar age and in a similar situation, which means more of a scare and a better reaction.
